Summer is here, Fall is just around the corner, and professional calendars are filling up.

For starters, I’m grateful to report that I have been invited to the annual Arkansas Trucking Seminar, one of the industry’s premier business meetings, attracting professionals from throughout the U.S. and Canada.  MKC Medical Management is pleased to return as a sponsor of the seminar in mid-September, and I will participate on a panel, “How Not to Be The Catch of the Day.”

The annual Arkansas Trucking Seminar will be held September 17 in Rogers, Ark.  Let me know if you’d like a copy of my presentation, and I’ll also check in with highlights and my take-aways from the seminar.

As the seminar’s founder, Christy Comstock, puts it, Arkansas Trucking…

…focuses on educating and networking trucking and transportation stakeholders concerning litigation and business practices which affect the industry.  Drawing on shared resources and experiences, Arkansas Trucking offers a unique opportunity to learn from one another in a casual environment.

In addition to speaking in Arkansas, I’ll be meeting and sponsoring the August 7-9 gathering of ALFA International in Seattle.  According to ALFA, it’s “…the premier global network of independent law firms,” with 150 member firms throughout the world, including 80 U.S. firms in 95 of the nation’s 100 largest metropolitan areas. The Seattle ALFA session will focus on claims and cases relating to the hospitality and retail sectors.

Finally, I’m heading to Louisiana in late August — thanks to John Moberly, MKC’s VP for Business Development — to present a “lunch-and-learn” to a trucking corporation…with a focus on how we can help the company mitigate costs.  Let us know if such a bottom-line conversation appeals to you!
